Rule 6ABBA - Other Electronic Modes

• Rule 6ABBA of the Income Tax Rules, 1962 prescribes other electronic modes as referred to in various sections of the Income Tax Act.

• The sections for the purpose of which other electronic modes have been prescribed are section 13A, 35AD, 40A, 43, 43CA, 44AD, 50C, 56, 80JJAA, 269SS, 269ST and 269T of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

• Electronic modes include:

1. Credit Card
2. Debit Card
3. Net Banking
4. IMPS (Immediate Payment Service)
5. UPI (Unified Payment Interface)
6. RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement)
7. NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer), and
8. BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) Aadhar Pay
